HISTORY
Known to locals around Trento as “Il Specialino,” this aperitivo liqueur from the excellent alpine distillery is unusual in its category due to its wine base. It is made with Trebbiano, Pinot Bianco, and Garganega grapes. As with all of Cappelletti’s products, it is produced with mountain herbs from near to the distillery and is colored with cochineal, a natural red dye produced from a South American beetle (which, incidentally, was where most aperitivo bitters used to get their color).
