Imbibe by David Wondrich
(2007, 2016) Wondrich is the foremost scholar of drinks history of this century. This is still one of the best sources on the origins of the American cocktail. The recipes aren’t terribly user friendly, but Wondrich does provide useful notes on the best available bottles for recreating olde drinks.
