Missionary’s Downfall

Adapted from Ned King (Gigantic, Easthampton, MA), based on Don the Beachcomber

This is a Don the Beachcomber original from 1937. Ned King has spent a lot of time perfecting this recipe, which is fresh and bright. We’ve taken a couple of small liberties to minimize our supply list, but the spirit of Ned’s spec for this early tiki classic shines through.

1¼ oz. white rum or rhum agricole blanc
3⁄4 oz. lemon juice
½ oz.
“apriçao” or peach liqueur
½ oz.
orgeat
4-5 pineapple chunks
6-8 mint leaves, plus a mint bouquet for garnish
1 pineapple slice, for garnish
