Club Pimm’s Bar
Here’s a fun serving suggestion for our homemade Club Pimm’s and our cucumber-lemon shrub: a do-it-yourself Pimm’s bar for your next gathering! I’m happy to say that this concept caters to drinkers and non-drinkers alike, so everyone will feel taken care of at your spring (or summer!) soirée.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Some great combinations:
Classic – Club Pimm’s, shrub, ginger beer, strawberries, oranges, mint
Non-alcoholic – shrub, tonic, mint, cucumber, lemon slice
Bitter highball – Club Pimm’s, cola, orange twist
ABV LEVEL
On a table, set out a pitcher of Club Pimm’s and one of cucumber-lemon shrub. Put a variety of high-quality mixers on ice–these can be spicy ginger beer, cola, tonic, or not-too-sweet lemon soda. Set out an ice bucket with a scoop or tongs, and a bunch of Collins or double rocks glasses. Arrange garnish on little plates or in bowls–like orange slices, lemon slices, cucumber slices, berries, and mint or other herbs. (Cut ends of herbs and discard any wilting leaves. Set herbs in a glass of water.) You can also leave out some whole oranges and/or lemons and a vegetable peeler for garnish.
